Wagstaffe Point to Killcare Heights there are number of community
groups. Bouddi
Society The Bouddi Society is a
cultural group which organises events to raise money for local
charities. The aims say: We emphasize creative activity in the arts,
writing and discussion that helps enrich our awareness of the beautiful
place in which we live and to 'celebrate time, place and community'.
They circulate 'Bouddi News', seasonally, to inform and bring together
people from MacMasters Beach to Wagstaffe. They support other groups in
their social and environmental awareness, concerns and actions. They
are presently involved in a large local history project and
may be reached at their WEBSITE.
Wagstaffe to Killcate
Community Association, formally "The Pretty Beach
Wagstaffe and District Progress Association" The
Progress Association aims to protect, preserve and enhance the natural
environment and endeavours to maintain the scenic quality of its
bushland, beaches and waterways. They work to preserve the character of
the area, promoting environmental awareness and ecologically
sustainable development. They are keen to build and strengthen
community bonds. This includes managing Wagstaffe Hall (for bookings
ring Doreen Waylett on 4360 1843) and Pretty Beach
tennis court, improving amenities in the area and holding community
events. Talking Turkey is published monthly and distributed from
Wagstaffe to Killcare Heights. For more information contact Robyn on

Hardys
Bay Residents Group
Working for a positive lifestyle and a
healthy environment in and around Hardys Bay. They may be reached
at their WEBSITE. Bushcare
Groups
A number of Bushcare Groups operate in the area. They are
always looking for more volunteers. They meet every Saturday morning in
the Bay area (phone Bill on 4360 2377) and every Wednesday morning in
Bouddi National Park (phone David Dufty on 4360 1650). South
Bouddi GroupThe South Bouddi Group meets at 1.30pm in the
Wagstaffe Hall on the 4th Friday. Ring 4360 1002 Fletchers GlenFletchers
Glen is a small but very diverse temperate rainforest provides habitat
for two threatened plant species, the Magenta Lily Pilly (Syzygium
paniculatum) and the Paperbark (Melaleuca biconvexa) as well as the
only locally known population of Snowwood (Parachidendron pruinosum).
Fletchers
Glen contains three waterfalls with a creek flowing into Brisbane
Water. The reserve has a wide diversity of Flora and Fauna. A Landcare
group maintains this area. Killcare
Heights Garden ClubThe Killcare Heights Garden Club is a
large group that maintains many of the public gardens in the region.

Brigade is at Hardys Bay. They meet every Wednesday for training and
meetings at 7.30pm at the Fire Station in Stanley St, Hardys Bay. They

Computer Club Central Coast Inc.The SCCCC aims to provide
an introduction, training, self-help assistance, and advice on all
aspects of computer use. They offer a friendly service (within the
scope of the expertise of the club) to anyone over 50 years of age to
learn at his or her own pace. There is no pressure to keep up with
others. All the facilitators are members of the club who give their
