Western part of Box head facing Broken Bay
From Half -tide rocks to Box Head, adjacent to Broken Bay, the slopes are exposed to the Southerly winds and salt spray. The exposure means that only the hardier species can flourish. The scrub sheoak is among the most hardy and in the more exposed areas it is the only species of any size that manages to flourish. The easiest access is to Lobster Beach from Wagstaffe.
